Metropolitan Community College
Founded in 1915,
MCC is the oldest public institution of higher education serving the four
counties of metropolitan Kansas City: Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte. MCC is
committed to serving the educational needs as well as the economic development
of the community.
MCC campuses
include Longview, Maple Woods, Penn Valley, Blue River, and the Business &
Technology College, located off of I-435 and Front Street. The Business &
Technology College (BTC) houses MCC's non-credit technical skills program
business service and contract training. The BTC underscores MCC's role, as a
major player in economic development for the area and as Kansas City's most
important business/industry trainer.

90-year history of delivering responsive programs that address the educational,
