MyKC Relocation Event Reduces Moving Anxiety

When candidates accept a new position, they’re taking on more than a job. They’re assimilating into a brand new work environment and sometimes even switching gears and building their home in a brand new city.

TeamKC seeks to help make this transition as easy as possible. At the Make it MyKC relocation event, our team gathered a collective of “KC experts” to answer the questions of individuals wanting to learn more about life in the Kansas City region.

In a virtual setting, attendees toured nine breakout rooms, where a total of 17 KC experts shared their insights on the topics of housing, nightlife, outdoors, family fun, sports, arts and cuisine.

Nearly 100 attendees participated, representing the following companies:

Individuals and families who participated left with more knowledge about their new home and contact information for experts in case more questions came up post-event.

Overall, TeamKC received positive feedback on the event from participants and volunteers:
